When PUGing, you should always bring a res - unless you are a healer.

^ I disagree, it's not that hard for a monk to bring Rebirth in UA in PvE. I agree with you for PvP though.

Rebirth? Seriously? If your team is getting killed, the last thing you need is having your monk use all of its energy on a res.

In his defense, sarcasm doesn't translate well into text.

Anyway...Saw someone selling Weaver Legs yesterday for 2.3k each in Rata Sum.
I told him that they are no where near that expensive.
He responded "It takes 2 legs per gift. Each gift is about 4.5 to 5k, so I'm selling the legs at half that price. Get it now noob?"
I wanted to respond to that but I didn't know how.

I believe the proper response would be: " Good luck with that."

Well, there's logic to that. Instead of gift prices changing from week to week, they're apparently a constant 5k per gift. Don't ask me why... I'd say they should vary per week.

That's amazingly stupid. The price of nick items is only a reflection of how difficult they are to farm. The MAXIMUM price possible is essentially up to the price of the gift itself but something easily obtained like a Weaver leg should be cheap.

Had a guy tell me that he would run Fort Ran if I would stay after we finished for just a few moments. So i said ok. After the run he then began trying to convert me to Christianity. That was one of the most stupid things I'd heard for sure.

The logic is flawed by the fact that a player can farm as many legs as they want, but they can only get 5 presents per account. That means the presents are worth far more than the items used to get the presents.

I think what he ment is, though I'm not sure , rebirth in UA is just UA. I think he ment its not that much of an effort for a monk to bring UA as elite and use that as a very easy quickly recharging res.
